Kell Kay Earns First International Award Nominations headlines


 

Malawian Afro-Pop star Kell Kay has received his first-ever international award nomination at Nigeria’s prestigious Headies Awards.

The Mukanabwera hitmaker has been shortlisted in the Best Southern African Artist of the Year category for the 17th edition of the awards. He is up against other top Southern African artists, including South Africa’s Tyla and Zee Nxumalo, Mozambique’s Plutonio, and Yuppe.

This marks a major milestone in Kell Kay’s career, as it is his first recognition beyond Malawi since rising to prominence in the music industry. The Headies Awards, one of Africa’s most respected music honors, celebrate outstanding achievements in the continent’s entertainment scene.

 Malceba Renowned hip-hop artist Mazaka Smart Banda, popularly known as Macelba, has unveiled the much anticipated music video for his song Chosadziwa Part 2. The track features singer Leslie and is part of his latest project. The video, released on Friday morning, was produced by Hendrix Kanchowa of Kanchowa Studios. Chosadziwa Part 2 is taken from Macelba’s After the Silence EP, which dropped in November last year.
