Miracle Chinga Dominates Malawi Gospel Music Scene

 



Miracle Chinga, the daughter of the late gospel legend Grace Chinga, continues to shine as Malawi’s most watched gospel artist on YouTube.

Her latest song, Mchipululu, has taken the gospel scene by storm, amassing an impressive 336,000 views in just six days. This follows the success of her Christmas hit, Kubadwa Kwa Yesu, which has garnered 659,000 views in only two months.

Miracle’s dominance in the industry has also been recognized with prestigious awards. She recently won the MBC Best Female Gospel Artist of the Year (2023-2024) for the second consecutive year and was also honored with the MBC Entertainer of the Year award for 2024.

Her song Thamanga, released in July 2023, continues to resonate with fans, boasting over 1.7 million views. However, her biggest success so far is Mseri, a collaboration with Evance Meleka, which remains her most-watched song with 3 million views.

Through her remarkable achievements, Miracle Chinga is proving that gospel music in Malawi remains a powerful force. Her success serves as an inspiration to artists who have moved away from the genre, demonstrating that gospel music can still rise and reclaim its former glory.

 Malceba Renowned hip-hop artist Mazaka Smart Banda, popularly known as Macelba, has unveiled the much anticipated music video for his song Chosadziwa Part 2. The track features singer Leslie and is part of his latest project. The video, released on Friday morning, was produced by Hendrix Kanchowa of Kanchowa Studios. Chosadziwa Part 2 is taken from Macelba’s After the Silence EP, which dropped in November last year.
