February 5, 2025

Malawian American artist Nepman has made an unexpected shift in his musical career with the release of his first Extended Play (EP) titled "It Takes Time." The EP is filled with gospel songs, a surprising move for an artist known for secular music that often includes explicit lyrics. This new direction marks a fresh phase in Nepman's career, with his faith and God’s guidance playing a central role in his decision to pursue gospel music.

Nepman, famous for hits like 'Chilawe Changachi,' 'Na Lero,' and 'Magobo,' has built a strong fanbase among adult listeners, using his music as a tool to connect people. In a recent phone interview, he revealed that his struggles in the music industry led him to embrace gospel music, explaining how God's faithfulness helped him persist through tough times.

The "It Takes Time" EP features seven tracks produced by Malawian-South African producers DJ Megi, DJ Twiggy, and Robert Nero. The gospel-themed songs include 'Ndiziyamika,' 'I Sing to You,' and 'Hossana.' The entire EP is available exclusively on Malawi-music.com for MK 2,000.
