Emmie Deebo Sweeps Four Nominations At Africa Arts Entertainment Awards

Malawian music sensation Emmie Deebo has made headlines with an impressive four nominations at the prestigious Africa Arts Entertainment Awards (AAEA) 2025.

The 'Sheli Banana' hitmaker has been recognized in the categories of Best New Female Artist, Best Collabo by New Act, Best Music Video by New Act, and Best Hit Single by New Act.

Emmie Deebo's manager, Laurent Kwakwala, has expressed his delight at the nominations, describing them as an "honour" for the talented artist. This comes on the heels of Emmie Deebo's recent win as the 2024 Best Female Secular Artist at the Entertainers of the Year (EOY) awards.

The AAEA awards ceremony is slated to take place on March 30 in Nairobi, Kenya.

In related news, Emmie Deebo has also received two nominations at the Young Achievers Africa Awards 2025, with the ceremony scheduled for next month in Rwanda.

Meanwhile, the songstress has kicked off the year with a brand-new single titled 'Mtima', which is already generating buzz in the music scene.

 Malceba Renowned hip-hop artist Mazaka Smart Banda, popularly known as Macelba, has unveiled the much anticipated music video for his song Chosadziwa Part 2. The track features singer Leslie and is part of his latest project. The video, released on Friday morning, was produced by Hendrix Kanchowa of Kanchowa Studios. Chosadziwa Part 2 is taken from Macelba’s After the Silence EP, which dropped in November last year.
