Makasu Band Set For Electrifyung Performance At Aero Lounge


 

Renowned music group Makasu Band, led by veteran musicians Peter Likhomo and Colin Ali, is set to take center stage this weekend at Aero Lounge in Lilongwe. The band, supported by entertainment industry stalwart Jai Banda, popularly known as Mr. Entertainer, promises a thrilling night for music lovers.

Famous for hits like Sikunala and Napolo, Makasu Band recently returned to the music scene after years out of the spotlight. The group, which gained prominence during the era of the late Bright Livewire Nkhata, has been staging performances in Blantyre and is now making its way to the capital to reconnect with fans and reaffirm its legacy.

"We are excited to perform in Lilongwe for the first time since our comeback," said Likhomo, the band’s bass guitarist. "We have been rehearsing for a while, and we are grateful to Mr. Entertainer Jai Banda, the Last Samurai, for his unwavering support."

The band's lineup also includes Wallace Ng'oma (trumpet), Vincent Manyozo (drums), Chiko Mulera (keyboard), and lead vocalist Kenzo B. In addition to live performances, Makasu Band is in the process of finalizing a new album, signaling a fresh chapter in their musical journey.

Aero Lounge Marketing Manager William Ngwira expressed excitement about hosting the legendary group. "It is an honor to have a band of their caliber perform at our venue. We anticipate an electrifying night of live music and unforgettable experiences," he said.  Malceba Renowned hip-hop artist Mazaka Smart Banda, popularly known as Macelba, has unveiled the much anticipated music video for his song Chosadziwa Part 2. The track features singer Leslie and is part of his latest project. The video, released on Friday morning, was produced by Hendrix Kanchowa of Kanchowa Studios.
